We offer a variety of cooking classes and consultations that will give you the skills you need to cook and eat healthier meals, so you feel empowered in the kitchen and in your life.

 

Cooking classes at The Kitchen Table

Ways to Wellness has a beautiful, state-of-the-art teaching kitchen. We call it The Kitchen Table because it’s a welcoming, friendly place to get a hands-on cooking education. Whether you’re looking for healthy menus, a fun night out, or the opportunity to develop serious knife skills, we’ve got the cooking class for you. Many of our classes are fully participatory: You’ll learn and practice cooking skills, taste the fruits of your labor and take home tasty recipes. We focus on using fresh, whole foods to make healthy and delicious meals in your own kitchen. Cooking is a life-long adventure and we are here to inspire your journey.

Whether you're looking for a few fresh ideas or you want to completely overhaul your family's dining habits, we can help. We offer fully customized, one-on-one sessions with our chef and culinary advisor. He’ll listen to your cooking challenges and goals, and put together a session just for you, including everything from foundational kitchen skills to what to eat and recipe tips for quick, nutritious meals. His goal is to make cooking easier and more enjoyable, so you feel empowered in your home kitchen.

Nutrition consultations

At Ways to Wellness, we believe that nutrition is a vital component of health and well-being. How and what we eat impacts our mind, body and spirit. Our registered dietitians have clinical experience in a variety of nutrition issues, including reducing inflammation, weight loss and gain, chronic disease and recovery, gut health and much more. They offer nonjudgmental, kind support. They’ll listen to your concerns, help you create healthy goals, and then support and motivate you on your journey. They are passionate about helping you avoid damaging fad diets and make lasting changes in the way you eat – so you can meet your well-being goals.

Functional Nutrition Program

Functional nutrition is an evidence-based practice that focuses on treating the underlying imbalance in the body by focusing on genetic, biochemical and lifestyle factors to develop your personalized nutrition plan. Using your health history and current symptoms, we’ll work to identify and remove the foods and stressors that contribute to your specific health conditions.

A few of the many conditions that functional nutrition can help alleviate:

  • IBS or other gut conditions
  • Autoimmune diseases/conditions
  • Inflammation
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Obesity
 

Our Functional Nutrition Program consists of four private visits with a registered dietitian or life coach. Your appointments will include:

  • Visit 1 - A 60-minute initial discovery session with a dietitian, including a thorough review of your health and nutritional review of symptoms.
  • Visit 2 - A 45-minute dietitian follow-up session to review intake and discuss nutrition and lifestyle intervention plan. (Lab orders may be suggested and will include an additional fee).
  • Visit 3 - A 45-minute session with a life coach to experience mind-body techniques such as stress reduction, deep breathing, mindful eating and/or self-compassion.
  • Visit 4 - A 45-minute session dietitian wrap-up to review progress and make necessary changes to plan for next steps and long-term maintenance.
