Learn about our caring, skilled staff

Our staff makes every effort to ensure you have a positive experience while in our care.

You and your family members can be confident that you will be fully informed about:

  • Care before surgery
  • Care after surgery
  • Pain management

You will be cared for by highly skilled nurses, surgical technologists and nursing assistants, all of whom are trained in the latest surgical techniques. In addition, anesthesiologists and anesthetists maintain the safest and most current methods of delivering anesthesia during surgery. They also provide consultation and care for patients who are recovering from surgery.

What to expect before and after surgery

One to five days before your scheduled procedure a registered nurse will call you to discuss:

  • How to get to the facility
  • What to expect during your experience

After surgery, you will either be transferred to a hospital room or be discharged after meeting specific guidelines and receiving complete instructions for care. You will also receive a follow-up call to inquire about your recovery.

For children needing surgery

Prior to your child having surgery, call the facility for more information.

Offering comfort and convenience

Convenient locations and parking allow easy access to our facilities. Family-friendly waiting areas are available at each location. Staff will keep friends and family members informed throughout their loved one's procedure. For those who request spiritual care services, chaplains are available to meet with you.

About accreditation and safety

HealthEast hospitals and surgery centers are certified by The Joint Commission. The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit organization that was established over 50 years ago. They are the world leader in evaluating the quality and safety of care delivered in more than 17,000 health care organizations across the country.

To maintain and earn accreditation, a facility undergoes an extensive on-site review by a select team of professionals from The Joint Commission at least once every three years. The purpose of the review is to evaluate the facility's performance in areas that affect patient care. Through an assessment of processes and personal visits with patients and staff, the facility is evaluated and scored.

The Joint Commission's National Patient Safety Goals

The Joint Commission's National Patient Safety Goals focus on problem areas in health care safety and how to solve them.
