At HealthEast, we advocate for breastfeeding and are committed to providing support and education. However, we also understand that breastfeeding is a personal choice and not for everyone. Whether or not you choose to breastfeed, your decision will be respected by our staff.
- Before your baby is born
Attend prenatal classes, including breastfeeding preparation, offered by Amma Parenting Center. Learn more.
- In the hospital
Our Maternity Care nurses have specialized training to support lactation (breastfeeding). Certified lactation consultants are also available to help if you have concerns. After discharge, you can get breastfeeding support by telephone or by scheduling an appointment with a certified lactation consultant.
- After you go home
Call 651-232-3147 to schedule an appointment. Please note that you will need a doctor's order for insurance to cover the visit.
