The Orthopaedic Specialty Center’s medical staff is comprised of board-certified orthopaedic surgeons who are specialty-trained in disorders affecting the bones, joints, spine, muscles, nerves and associated structures.
Woodwinds partners with the best surgeons and physicians in the area to provide outstanding diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation for patients experiencing a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. We take advantage of leading edge technology to deliver the best patient care, and offer excellence in orthopaedic innovations and state-of-the-art surgery.
Our Orthopaedic Care nurses are specially trained to take care of you during and after joint replacement surgery; this includes nurses in the operating room as well as on the orthopaedic inpatient unit. These dedicated nurses are committed to your care and work with you to monitor your progress, assess your responses to treatment, control your pain, and help you meet your individual goals for recovery. Many of our nurses have achieved additional orthopaedic specialty credentials, such as:
- Orthopaedic Nurse Certification (ONC) from the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) from American Organization of periOperative Nurses
The ultimate goal of certification is to create a culture of patient safety and extraordinary care through increased knowledge and a professional commitment to the highest practice standards. Certification benefits the entire health care community, from the patient to the nurse to the employer and hospital administrator.
