While visiting Woodwinds, stay connected to loved ones by phone or wireless Internet access.
Cell phone policy
Because signals may interfere with hospital equipment, cell phone use is not allowed in patient rooms. You may use cell phones in the main lobby, Towne Center, Resource Center and Woods Café.
Telephones
All rooms are equipped with a telephone. Local calls are free. You may bill long distance calls to your home or credit card, or call collect.
Courtesy phones are located in the Business Center—located outside the Resource Center on the first floor—and near the Auditorium.
Pagers
Visitors who want to stay informed about a patient's condition while away from the bedside may request a pager. Simply contact Guests Services at 651-232-0228.
Wireless Internet
Patients, family members and other guests are welcome to use Woodwinds' wireless Internet access with their own laptop computers.
Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the wireless network. Also, web sites considered inappropriate will be blocked.
Patient laptops
If you don't have one, you may check out a patient laptop from the Resource Center. Check-out durations vary based on patient needs.
