Ways to Wellness Services

Ways to Wellness offers a variety of programs and services to help you achieve your personal goals:

 

ReVitalize 360 Program

Our Signature Program has been updated, improved and renamed! The ReVitalize 360 Program gives you the best we have to offer to help you achieve optimal health and well-being. Whether you want to lose weight, get fit, increase your energy or improve your overall well-being this is the place to start.

Your journey will begin with learning more about yourself. Using a variety of assessments and self-reflection tools, we'll work with you to create a custom wellness plan. You will then put your custom plan into action using follow-up sessions with a staff member of your choice from Ways to Wellness. Finally, you'll track your progress in a wrap-up session and you'll be able to determine your next steps.

Program includes:

  • One 45-minute fitness assessment
    Includes BodPod body composition testing and custom fitness testing designed for you and your fitness level. (Clients should wear spandex clothing that is skin tight for the BodPod assessment [room is private]. Please fast for four hours prior to session and do not exercise within two hours of appointment. Locker rooms are available.)
  • One 45-minute nutrition assessment
    A personalized evaluation of your eating habits by a registered dietitian, and tools and resources to help you achieve your goals.
  • One 45-minute wellness planning session
    This is your time to put all the information together. You'll determine your goals and how you will achieve them. You will also review your results from your personal lifestyle inventory.
  • Four 45-minute follow-up sessions
    Meet with a Ways to Wellness staff member of your choice based on your individual wellness plan. You may choose from with nutrition, personal training, health and wellness coaching and chef consults.
  • One 45-minute wrap-up session and re-assessment
    Check in on your progress and determine the next steps in your journey. Fitness testing completed at the first session will be repeated, and a lifestyle inventory will be completed to give you concrete results.

Our most versatile option. Make your own package choosing any combination of nutrition, personal training and health and wellness coaching sessions.

Nutrition coaching

Nutrition is a vital component to our health and well-being. Following the latest nutrition fad can have unwanted health implications. Our fitness and nutrition specialists are registered dietitians – experts in nutrition to help sort out facts from fiction, to maximize your results.

Consultations may include:

  • Mindful-based eating practices
  • Holistic clean eating plans (the healthy way to detox)
  • Menu planning (product recommendations and grocery guides)
  • Weight loss
  • Weight gain (fuel for your muscle)
  • Maximize your metabolism
  • Functional foods (phytochemicals, antioxidants and more)
  • Anti-inflammatory eating
  • Sport nutrition (triathlon/marathon/crossfit/team sports)
  • Vegan, vegetarian and flexitarian
  • Food allergies and sensitivities
  • Lifestyle-related conditions (diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension, heart disease)

Chef consultations

Whether you're just looking for a few fresh ideas or you want to completely overhaul your family's dining habits, schedule a chef consultation with our culinary advisor to learn recipe tips and cooking techniques for quick, nutritious meals. Chef consultations are available in 30-, 45- or 60-minute increments.

Personal training

Our fitness specialists will motivate you to meet your fitness or weight loss goals, train for an event, or add variety and fun back into your workouts. From the athlete to the beginner, our staff will personalize your experience to help you succeed.

All fitness specialists are certified through nationally recognized organizations with specialty training in a variety of areas, including corrective exercise, STOTT Pilates and yoga. They can help you focus on: resistance training, cardiovascular endurance (HIIT, tabata, interval training, crossfit), muscle management and balance (foam rolling, stretching and strengthening), heart rate training, endurance training (marathon/triathlon), sports team performance (soccer, basketball, etc.), recreational sports performance (golf, tennis, etc.), olympic lifts, and mind-body practices (yoga, pilates, relaxation techniques).

Health & wellness coaching

Health and wellness coaching is an inspiring and effective way to achieve the healthy lifestyle you desire. You will be guided through a proven process of lifestyle behavior change with the accountability and credibility of a professional coach. You are accepted for who you are and empowered to make changes based on your own values and wellness priorities.

The coaching process is used for improvement and growth in many wellness areas. Some of the most common are healthier eating, fitness, weight loss, disease management and prevention, work-life balance, stress reduction and authentic happiness. You choose what’s most important to work on and your coach will guide you along the path to your best self.

This will be accomplished by:

  • Teaching you new skills and ways of thinking that lead to long-term growth
  • Meeting you where you are today and helping you make small improvements or, even accomplishing a complete overhaul of your current lifestyle.
  • Providing support and accountability when challenges or questions arise. (Our certified coaches have formal training in both health and wellness, as well as in the field of behavioral psychology.)

Anyone who wishes to be a healthier, happier person and is willing to make changes in at least one wellness area could benefit from health and wellness coaching.

8 for $80 group fitness classes

From Active Flow Yoga to Zumba, we offer a full spectrum of group fitness classes at varying times throughout the day. Our workouts are challenging, but with a good dose of fun. Pick any class and attend eight sessions for $80.

Online Fitness Program

Our four-week personalized workout plan includes a 45-minute fitness evaluation with a fitness specialist to assess your movement patterns and develop your fitness goals. Your evaluation can be completed in person or virtually via Skype. Then, your fitness specialist will create your four-week plan. You'll have unlimited access to your plan from our online application and you'll receive ongoing feedback from your fitness specialist. With this super flexible option, you determine the start date of your online program.

Pilates Reformer training

The Pilates Reformer machine will provide you with an effective exercise experience that will result in profound results. STOTT Pilates mind-body exercise creates movement that can improve musculoskeletal performance without risking injury or building bulk. With a main focus on core stability, STOTT Pilates can help restore the natural curves of the spine, relieve tension and improve self-confidence. Your result will be a balanced and aligned body that looks fit, feels revitalized and moves with ease.

Pilates Reformer benefits include: longer, leaner muscles; core strength and stability; injury prevention; relief from stress and back pain; better posture; improved balance and coordination; enhanced athletic performance; post-rehab strengthening; heightened mind-body awareness; and increased self-confidence.

Pilates Reformer training is available privately with a trainer, duo or trio sessions, or in classes:

  • Private sessions
    One-on-one private training sessions offer a unique and personalized full body workout that is designed for an individual's specific needs, based on their personal goals.
  • Duo and trio sessions
    Semi-private training sessions include two or three clients and one trainer. If you like to schedule workouts with friends, then the duo or trio session is a great option.
  • Reformer classes
    Group sessions provide the same great results as our one-on-one, duo and trio sessions, but are a more affordable approach. Maximum of four people.
  • Fast Track
    Three sessions designed to teach the necessary skills so you can participate in the group Pilates classes. This is a prerequisite for group Pilates classes unless significant individual Reformer sessions have already been completed.

Specialty assessments

Metabolic calorie testing

Our metabolic test holds the key for successful weight loss, unlocking your unique calorie needs. This simple 10-minute breathing test will identify the calories you burn in 24 hours and assist your Nutrition and Fitness Specialist in designing a nutrition and fitness program to meet your goals.

Wellness screening and results consultation

Get your cholesterol results immediately, as well as body fat percentage and blood pressure. Learn what you can do to improve your scores in this 30-minute wellness screening. Lab work includes total cholesterol (LDL, HDL, glucose and triglycerides). For the most accurate results, please come to your appointment fasting (4 to 8 hours).

VO2 Max testing

Our VO2 Max test is performed on a treadmill and is a precise indicator of your cardiovascular fitness level. This test will give you all the information you need to gauge your fitness starting point, improve your fitness or maximize your performance. Included in this test is your VO2 Max, anaerobic threshold and your personal heart rate zones.

BodPod testing

BodPod is an air displacement technique that uses whole body density to determine body composition (fat and fat-free mass) and can accommodate a wide range of populations for health, wellness and performance. It can also be used to obtain a resting metabolic rate estimate (calorie level).
