Emergency First Responder |

The Emergency First Responder course provides basic knowledge and skills to those who may be the first on an emergency scene. The course includes lecture, skills and testing.
Class objective include:
- Recognizing patient needs
- Delivering quality care
- Decreasing discomfort
- Preventing further complications
Who should attend
This course is designed for those who respond to emergencies on the job. This includes police, fire, security personnel, lifeguards, ski patrols and others interested in advanced first aid training.
This First Responder Course is consistent with the guidelines of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).

Administration and approval
The Emergency First Responder course is administered by HealthEastEMS Education under the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and approvedby the MN EMSRB and the National Registry of EmergencyMedical Technicians (NREMT).
