New waterbirth suite at St. John's
St. John's is pleased to now offer waterbirth as an option to expectant moms. A waterbirth is when the baby is born under water in a wide, deep tub. Waterbirth has steadily grown in popularity because of the calming effects of warm water. Water has many soothing benefits and has been shown to calm and comfort — even during labor and delivery.

Family-centered care
For your comfort and ease, our family-centered model of care allows you to stay in one room throughout labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum. After the birth, you are encouraged to keep your baby in the room with you. Called "rooming in," this important time together helps you and your partner learn how to care for your baby's needs.
Devoted staff
Babies can make unpredictable entrances into the world, so we have an ob/gyn doctor and neonatal nurse practitioners readily available at the hospital.
From aides, to nurses, to doctors, our entire staff is devoted to caring for women and their families. With years of experience, we have the knowledge and skill to help you through the birth and get you off to a good start with your baby.
Meals
You will be served meals each day while you are in the hospital. If you would like to bring food from home, a microwave and refrigerator are available. We offer a cafeteria and vending machines for family and visitors.
