Scott L. North - CEO

Scott has been employed with HealthEast since 1991. He served as associate administrator for both St. Joseph's and St. John's hospitals and was responsible for various clinical, outpatient and support services. Scott was named VP/CEO for St. John's Hospital in June 2002.

Scott has been in the healthcare business profession since 1979.

North holds a master of business administration degree from Ashland University, as well as a bachelor of science in healthcare administration from Bowling Green State University.

John Kvasnicka, MD - Medical Director

Dr. Kvasnicka began with HealthEast as Medical Director for Emergency Medicine in 1999 and was the Executive Lead for HealthEast Medical Transportation from 2008 to 2009. He was named to his current position in 2009.

Dr. Kvasnicka attended medical school at the University of Nebraska and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Kvasnicka also earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of Nebraska.

Dr. Kvasnicka is board certified in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine, and he is a Certified Physician Executive by the American College of Physician Executives.

Laura Keithahn - Operations Executive

Laura has been with HealthEast since June 1980. She has been associate administrator at St. John's since March 2002.

Keithahn has worked at Divine Redeemer, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Midway Hospital, St. John’s Hospital and Bethesda Hospital. Her background includes technologist in nuclear medicine, CT, radiology and special procedures, director of radiology, radiology manager and system director of radiology.

Keithahn holds a master of business administration from the University of St. Thomas, as well as a bachelor of science in management from Cardinal Stritch College. In addition, she is a certified registered technologist in nuclear medicine from the Veterans Administration Hospital and a certified registered technologist in radiology from Finley Hospital.

Deb Hurd - Patient Care Executive

Deb joined HealthEast in 1984 and held positions as administrative nursing supervisor at Midway and Bethesda hospitals. In 1998 Deb became the director of patient care services at St. John's. Deb was named to her current position, associate administrator for nursing services, in March 2002.

Hurd holds a master of science in nursing from the University of Minnesota, as well as a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Minnesota.
