North Oaks, MN – April 5, 2010 – Check out the latest spring fashions and help raise money for a great cause! TV host, Natalie Kane, will emcee this major fundraiser for the Cancer Benefit Fund, “Couture for a Cure,” Saturday, April 10, 2010. Natalie is a host on CW Twin Cities, TV Guide Network, Fox Sports North, Big Ten Network, 21 Cards, StarTribune.com, KFAN, and MN Timberwolves. Minnesota rising singer/songwriter, Joel Kachel will be performing during the event.
“Couture for a Cure” will be a luncheon/style show with fashions presented by Our Shop of Stillwater, Chico’s of White Bear Lake, The Gap, The Gap Kids and Banana Republic of Albertville Outlet Mall. The ‘models’ include cancer survivors, as well as a physician who treats cancer patients and a cancer researcher.
The event will be held at the North Oaks Country Club, 54 East Oaks Rd. North Oaks. Registration will begin at 11 am with the luncheon and style show at noon. Guests may also participate in a silent auction. Cost is $45 per person.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from our 2010 event will benefit the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota and HealthEast Cancer Care programs. Specifically, proceeds from this event will go to find alternative treatments to chemo using the body’s own immune system to fight cancer cells and to purchase a blanket warmer to warm blankets for local cancer patients.
The Cancer Benefit Fund is comprised of all volunteers from the Twin Cities, who have raised more than $600,000 for local cancer research and for helping local cancer patients.
