November 2, 2011– A novel innovative model of care, developed by the HealthEast Kidney Stone Institute (KSI), is providing rapid expert care to patients with kidney stones. This strategy is improving patient care, reducing unnecessary repeat emergency room visits and hospitalization, and drastically cutting health care costs. That's why HealthPartners just awarded KSI with a 2011 Innovations in Health Care Award.

June 11, 2013 – A partnership between cardiovascular-thoracic surgeons at HealthPartners Regions Hospital and HealthEast's St. Joseph's Hospital will serve 800 to 900  patients at both health systems a year. Timothy Kroshus, MD, a HealthPartners surgeon at Regions Hospital will serve as director of the East Metro Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgery program. The program also includes David Blake, MD, and Rochus Voeller, MD, HealthPartners surgeons at Regions Hospital and David Joyce, MD a HealthEast surgeon at St. Joseph's Hospital.

October 19, 2011 - The HealthEast Board of Directors has selected Kathryn Correia as the new President and CEO of HealthEast Care System. Kathryn will succeed Tim Hanson who, after 39 years with HealthEast, will be retiring in January 2012.

August 4, 2011 - HealthEast Care System is proud to announce that one of its physician leaders, Brian D. Patty, MD, Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer, received a national award from the Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems (AMDIS).

June 15, 2011 - Becker's Hospital Review has named Woodwinds Health Campus one of country’s 65 Great Community Hospitals. Woodwinds was recognized as high-performing leader in patient care, clinical quality and community outreach. Woodwinds was the only Minnesota community hospital to make the list.
