Summit Orthopedics and Woodwinds Health Campus are conducting a clinical research study on the effects of acupuncture after total joint (hip or knee) replacement surgery.
Acupuncture is being studied to compare its effectiveness as an optional additional
therapy for pain management after orthopaedic surgery. Specifically, we are interested in knowing if acupuncture therapy decreases post-operative pain and reduces the use of pain medication.
