Continuing Lifes Journey: Palliative Care, Hospice and End-of-Life SupportJoin us for an interactive workshop to help patients and families learn about support and services available for end-of-life care and decision-making.
Staff from HealthEast Palliative Care and Hospice Care will lead a wide-ranging discussion on topics that arise when active treatment for disease is no longer an option, including:
- Information on how to plan and prepare for end-of-life care;
- How families can navigate care systems and make the transition from hospital to the patient's residence;
- How professionals help manage pain and symptoms with both traditional care and complementary approaches;
- Available grief support and spiritual care services;
- Options for services and memorials, including "green" funerals.
