Continuing Life’s Journey: Palliative Care, Hospice and End-of-Life Support



Continuing Life’s Journey: Palliative Care, Hospice and End-of-Life SupportJoin us for an interactive workshop to help patients and families learn about support and services available for end-of-life care and decision-making.

Staff from HealthEast Palliative Care and Hospice Care will lead a wide-ranging discussion on topics that arise when active treatment for disease is no longer an option, including:

  • Information on how to plan and prepare for end-of-life care;
  • How families can navigate care systems and make the transition from hospital to the patient's residence;
  • How professionals help manage pain and symptoms with both traditional care and complementary approaches;
  • Available grief support and spiritual care services;
  • Options for services and memorials, including "green" funerals.

Time: 6:30 to 9 pm
Date: Monday, Nov. 16
Location: St. Joseph's Hospital, 3M Education Center
Cost: $10 per person
