HealthEast Home Care Earns Accreditation in Home Infusion Therapy

HealthEast Home Care Earns Accreditation in Home Infusion TherapyST. PAUL, Minn. (Sept. 3, 2009) - HealthEast Care System's Home Care Infusion Nursing and Pharmacy program has earned accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care. The accreditation was received on July 15 and will be in effect for three years.

"We are proud to have attained the high standards of accreditation by submitting to a peer review of our policies, processes and patient care delivery. The accreditation is a demonstration of our commitment to excellence in serving our patients," said Nadine Paitich, Home Care Executive.

Home infusion therapy at HealthEast covers a range of services, including intravenous infusions, technology-assisted feeding and patient and family education. The 18-member team serves approximately 30-50 patients at any one time and works closely with physicians to coordinate safe, effective infusion therapy for patients.
