Woodwinds named Best Minnesota Hospital Workplace "Congratulations to one and all. I can't think of a more deserving group of employees, leaders, physicians and volunteers," said Julie Schmidt, CEO/VP Woodwinds Health Campus.
Woodwinds received this prestigious hospital award because it provides a holistic model of care and a healing environment for staff as well as patients. Woodwinds nurses recently told interviewers with a holistic nursing journal study that they enjoy their hospital's holistic approach that embraces reciprocity and empowerment. Woodwinds' nurse vacancy rate is less than one percent and turnover is far below the national average at just 1.56 percent. Patient satisfaction score is in the 92nd percentile, which is among the highest in the country. Woodwinds nursing engagement scores are the highest in the nation! "Our passion comes from our leaders and staff who came to Woodwinds to create the ultimate patient and employee experience," said Cindy Bultena, Woodwinds Executive Lead, when she accepted the award on behalf of Woodwinds at the Minnesota Hospital Association's awards ceremony. The Minnesota Hospital Association's "Best Minnesota Hospital Workplace Award" is designed to honor hospitals that "go the extra mile" in enhancing employee satisfaction through basic or creative retention strategies. Woodwinds is a full-service 86-bed hospital and one of the largest employers in Woodbury. It's collaboration between the HealthEast Care System and Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.
