HealthEast is Top 100 Best Place to Work in Health CareAlmost 240 healthcare companies participated in this first-ever health care workplace program by Modern Healthcare. HealthEast leaders completed a in-depth survey detailing organization policies, practices, benefits and demographics. Four hundred of the 7,000 HealthEast employees were randomly selected to participate in this national survey. The employees were asked an in-depth set of questions that resulted in an analysis in 8 core areas: leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction, working environment, relationships with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits and overall satisfaction. Modern Healthcare conducted this program to recognize outstanding employers in the health care industry on a national level. From economic development to employee retention, Modern Healthcare believes that this program will greatly benefit individuals, organizations and the healthcare industry. A list of the top 100 organizations is now available online at www.ModernHealthcare.com/bestplacestowork. "Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work in Healthcare" program identifies and recognizes healthcare organizations that have successfully built workplace excellence and enabled employees to perform at their optimal level," said Fawn Lopez, Publisher of Modern Healthcare. The specific ranking of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare will be in a special Modern Healthcare supplement to be published October 27, 2008. The supplement also will recognize the top places to work by industry segment and by number of employees and will profile some of the recipients. A gala will be held to honor this year's winners on Wednesday, October 29 at the InterContinental Chicago. Also this month, HealthEast was named one of the top ten "Best Places to Work" in Minnesota by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
