HealthEast Medical Laboratory is pleased to offer Continuing Laboratory Education on-line through COLA LabUniversity™.
A variety of medical laboratory courses are offered individually. There is also a Lab Director Program that provides 20.5 CME credits for Physician Laboratory Directors of Moderately Complex Labs.

COLA has provided coupon codes to HealthEast Medical Laboratory clients. The codes allow a 10% discount on individual courses and a $75.00 discount on the Lab Director Program. Please contact your sales representative, technical consultant or education coordinator to obtain coupon codes.

Individual Courses

• LabUniversity™ is a distance learning program developed to meet the learning needs of physicians and laboratory staff.
• Provides courses at a student's convenience via the Internet.
• Lessons take between 20 and 30 minutes.
• Each course includes examples drawn from current laboratory practices.
• LabUniversity™ provides flexibility, whether purchased separately or specially packaged for the Laboratory Director program.
• Competency assessments are available online at a cost of $10.00 each. No additional discounts apply.

Lab Director Program

COLA's on-line Lab Director Program offered through LabUniversity™ provides 20.5 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for Physician Laboratory Directors of Moderate Complexity Labs. This Program consists of eight courses covering all of the topics required by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), combining content with interactive exercises and self-paced learning activities. All of the courses have been approved for P.A.C.E. credits as well.

To sign up for a course

1.Go the www.cola.org/labu.html website.

2. Click on Course Catalog

3. Choose the Lab Director Program or any individual course of interest.

5. Next click on the button that says BUY NOW

6. Click CHECK OUT
If you are a returning customer use your ID and password to login.  If you are a new customer, complete the required information.

• When asked, enter the coupon code provided by HealthEast Medical Laboratory.
• When you create your Customer Profile, please type your name as you would like it to appear on your certificate.
• Be careful to note the password you create.

The chosen courses will appear in the student's course menu. Clicking on them will start the course.

Click on the link to Student History to view your courses on subsequent visits to the COLA Web Site.
