Medication compliance

MD2 Medication Dispenser
The MD2 is a medication dispenser that makes it easy to manage your medications. The MD2 can be loaded with up to 60 doses at one time.

When it is time to take your medicine:

  • A loud, clear voice will announce that it is time for your medication.
  • A red light on the front of the machine will flash.
  • The unit display will read that it is time for your medication.

MD2 Medication DispenserYou simply press the large red button on the front of the machine and a dose cup will be dispensed from the unit.

The MD2 can be programmed to announce different messages when dispensing medication, such as "take with food" or "take on an empty stomach."

You can also program the MD2 to remind you to do certain tasks such as check your blood pressure or take insulin. No medication will be dispensed with these reminders.

If you miss a dose of your medication, the MD2 will automatically call your caregiver(s) to let them know. All medication is locked in the machine and can only be accessed by the caregiver.

QuietCare - Passive activity sensing system

When you're concerned about a loved one, the patented QuietCare system can identify changes in daily activities that may indicate emergency situations or health conditions.

How it works

The QuietCare system consists of small wireless activity sensors. They are placed strategically in the client's home and track typical "activities of daily living" or ADLs. The data is then transmitted to QuietCare through a small communicator device connected to a standard phone line.

Powerful software analyzes the motion data to create a description of the client's individual daily patterns of well-being. This includes such things as morning wake-up time, potential bathroom falls, medication handling, meal preparation and overall activity levels. In addition, home temperatures are monitored.

Using this data, QuietCare can identify crucial changes in daily activities to indicate emergency situations or emerging health conditions. For example, no morning activity, a possible bathroom fall or extreme temperatures can indicate an emergency situation.  The Health Watch Response Center will call the subscriber and, if needed, call family or caregivers or local emergency services to dispatch help.
