In collaboration with surgeons, clinicians and national consultants, HealthEast Care System has implemented a spine implant pricing program that establishes market based product pricing by component. This Program allows surgeons open choice of products to use provided that the manufacturer agrees to sell their products at the established competitive price.

Program details

• HealthEast Care System Materials Management will maintain an updated catalog of available products. The catalog will be distributed to surgeons periodically subject to changes.

• Manufacturers can receive Program information, including component pricing, from HealthEast Care System Materials Management by contacting John Johnson, Contract Manager at 651-232-1076 or by e-mail at jgjohnson@healtheast.org

• Products meeting the established component pricing do not need approval to be used at HealthEast Care System other than advanced (5 days) communication from the vendor of product information and pricing to John Johnson.

• Products not meeting the established component pricing cannot be used at HealthEast Care System, or if used vendor understands, acknowledges, and agrees that the product will be paid short at the appropriate established component price as determined by HealthEast Care System Materials Management.

• Products not meeting the component pricing established by HealthEast Care System will need to be approved by Spine Quality Council. The process may take up to 60 days.
