Diabetes Education at HealthEast Clinics

For your convenience, HealthEast Diabetes Care offers education at four HealthEast Clinics. Working with your doctor, diabetes educators teach you how to safely manage blood sugars. Education is available one-on-one or in a group setting. Family members are encouraged to attend.
Diabetes educators provide training on:
- Blood sugar testing
- Medication management
- Meal planning
- Exercise
- Motivation and stress management
- Emotional adjustment
- Preventing or delaying complications
Diabetes education is available at:

- HealthEast Roselawn Clinic
- HealthEast Vadnais Heights Clinic
- HealthEast Woodbury Clinic
Insurance
The program requires a physician's referral. Health insurance companies typically cover a portion of the cost of diabetes education. For individuals without health insurance coverage, scholarship money is available through the Lion's 5M6 Diabetes Assistance program.
