Dr. Wallenfriedman is board certified by the American Board of Neurosurgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.


She has a PhD in neuroscience, graduated from medical school at Yale and completed her internship and residency at the University of Minnesota.

Professional activities

She is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and Women in Neurosurgery.

Practice interests

Dr. Wallenfriedman has a special interest in tumors of the brain, spine and peripheral nerves, Chiari malformations, degenerative spine including cord compression and spondylolisthesis, normal pressure hydrocephalus and carpal and cubital tunnel release.

Personal statement

"It's important to help patients understand their disease processes, their predisposing factors, the therapeutic options and the pros/cons and consequences of treatments. It is my goal that my patients are not only well cared for, but well educated."
