HealthEast Customer Advocacy

From paperwork to medical bills, health care today can be complex.

Customer Advocacy helps HealthEast patients and employees understand health care billing, costs, insurance and care. Our specialists have experience in nursing, social service, senior care and insurance counseling. This gives us the expertise and skills to assist with your concerns.

How we can help

Customer Advocates

• Help explain insurance benefit notices or "EOBs"
• File Medicare secondary insurance claims
• Assist with filing insurance appeals on denied claims
• Provide insurance counseling, including coverage options
• Help prepare Health Care Directives (also known as living wills)

Clinical Issues Advocates

• Assist with billing concerns
• Explain charges and services
• Assist in resolving concerns surrounding care and services

Reimbursement Disclosure Advocates

• Provide information regarding reimbursement by the patient’s insurance for a specific medical service
• Provide cost information for uninsured patients

Senior Partners Care Coordinator

Senior Partners Care (SPC) is a program for Medicare beneficiaries on limited incomes who are unable to afford a Medicare secondary insurance.

Our coordinator helps:

• Assists qualified patients in enrolling in SPC
• Helps enrollees in finding a primary care clinic that participates with SPC
• Assists enrollees in finding specialty care that participates with SPC

• HealthEast employees and their families
• HealthEast Care, Inc. insurance enrollees
