We're focused on providing you and your child with quality care and a great experience.
Our pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners:

Through a teaching affiliation with the University of Minnesota, HealthEast Clinics staff keeps current on new developments in the field of pediatrics. Everything we do centers around caring for children. We place special emphasis on wellness and prevention.
Locations
Pediatrics is offered at:
Pediatric specialists
In addition to regular pediatric providers, we also offer several pediatric specialists. Peter Loewenson, MD, is board certified in adolescent medicine and specializes in adolescent health issues. Janet Mims, certified pediatric nurse practitioner, focuses on developmental and behavioral issues.
Phone calls answered 24 hours a day
Illness and injuries are not predictable — especially when it comes to kids. That's why your phone calls are answered 24 hours a day/7 days a week. At all three clinics, calls are answered by clinic staff, after hours triage nurses or by HealthEast's answering service. If you have an urgent need, you will be connected to an after hours triage nurse or the doctor on call.
Hospital care
When needed, pediatric patients are hospitalized at Children's Hospital in St. Paul, St. John's Hospital in Maplewood and Woodwinds Health Campus in Woodbury. A HealthEast pediatrician makes daily rounds to see all hospitalized patients.
Newborn care
Newborns are seen at St. Joseph's Hospital, St. John's Hospital, Woodwinds Health Campus and United Hospital by a pediatrician for an initial exam after birth and then daily while in the hospital.
About vaccines
Many parents with small children have questions about vaccines. Find out about our philosophy on vaccines.
