For your convenience, HealthEast Diabetes Care offers education at nine HealthEast Clinics. Working with your doctor, diabetes educators teach you how to safely manage blood sugars. Education is available one-on-one or in a group setting. Family members are encouraged to attend.

Diabetes educators provide training on:

• Preventing or delaying complications

Insurance

The program requires a physician's referral. Health insurance companies typically cover a portion of the cost of diabetes education. For individuals without health insurance coverage, scholarship money is available through the Lion's 5M6 Diabetes Assistance program.
