What is a podcast?
Podcasts are an audio or video program that is made by someone and then posted to the Internet for you to download and listen to via iTunes or your iPod.
Podcasts are made available for free or for purchase over the Internet.
What do I do with podcasts?
When you find a podcast you're interested in, click on it and you'll see a page like any other iTunes page, listing all of the episodes available in this podcast. You can do one of two things: listen to it or download it.
Listen by double-clicking an individual episode. Download by clicking the "get episode" button.
Where did it go?
When you download a podcast, it goes into the podcasts section of your iTunes, listed in the left menu. When you click in there, you'll see the name of each podcast you've downloaded, with all the episodes of that podcast underneath it.
You can subscribe, too.
If you want to get every new episode of a podcast when it comes out, just highlight the name of the podcast you want to subscribe to and then click the "subscribe" button at the bottom of the window. Now you'll get each new episode automatically downloaded to you as it's released.
How do I delete podcasts?
If you don't want to save a podcast, just select the episode to delete and delete it like any other song. Remember, though, this will delete it from your iPod, too, at your next sync.
How do I unsubscribe?
Unsubscribing is pretty easy — just select the name of the podcast and click the "unsubscribe" button at the bottom of the iTunes window.
