Flu shot availability

Some HealthEast Clinics are temporarily suspending flu shot appointments and flu shot clinics due to a shortage of the seasonal flu vaccine. Please call your HealthEast Clinic to find out about flu shot availability.

We are awaiting another shipment of flu vaccine and will be offering more flu shot clinics as soon as we can.

You can search for other local flu shot clinics on the Minnesota Department of Health web site.

Immunize.org provides details about the influenza vaccine and who should receive it:

• Seasonal flu vaccine - injection (pdf)

H1N1 vaccine availability

At this time, the HealthEast clinics have received an initial allocation of H1N1 Influenza Vaccine. We are currently providing the vaccine to these target high-risk groups of established HealthEast clinic patients:

• Pregnant women
• Caregivers of infants less than 6 months old
• Health-care and emergency medical services personnel who have direct contact with patients or infectious material
• Children 6 months through 4 years old
• Children and adolescents ages 5 to 18 years with medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications

If you  fall into one of these categories, then please contact your clinic to schedule your vaccination.

We are working closely with the Minnesota Department of Health regarding these recommendations. We will offer vaccinations to additional groups of patients as supply becomes available.
