Prenatal Class
This five-session course is designed for the first-time parent. Become an active participant in your birth. We’ll help you and your support person prepare for labor, birth and the post-partum period. Topics include:
Stages of labor; interventions; birth
Tour of Maternity Care Center
The support person’s role
Initial infant care and feeding
Relaxation and breathing (bring pillows), comfort measures
Preparing for Birth classes are for weeks 24 through 40 of your pregnancy.
Plan to complete the class/series of classes a minimum of 3 weeks before your due date.

The St. John's classes are held at the Maplewood Professional Building, 1655 Beam Ave., near the hospital. Classes meet in the Watson Education Center, located in suite 202.
