Keeping Yourself Safe

No one has the right to harm you or the ones you love, but crime does exist and it can touch your life at any time. Increasing your personal awareness is an integral part of crime prevention, and perhaps the single most important element of effective self-defense.

In this class, aimed at women of all ages, you will learn:

  • Crime trend information
  • Hands-on practice of self-defense moves
  • Advice on avoiding crimes and current scams

This class will be taught by Scott L. Steffen, Safety and Security Manager at St. John's Hospital. In addition to being a self-defense instructor, Mr. Steffen has over 30 years experience before retiring as a Police Sergeant from the Maplewood Police Department.
