Moving Day is a national event that helps raise awareness and money for important Parkinson’s research and resources. Money raised will support education, outreach, respite and more through the National Parkinson’s Foundation Minnesota.
This year's Moving Day Twin Cities is on Saturday, May 12. Every mover will receive a gift just for participating, and participants who raise at least $100 will also earn a Moving Day T-shirt.
More than 1,000 participants are expected to enjoy the day, including people with Parkinson’s, families, friends, health care professionals and family teams. If you are walking, you may choose from three paths: 2.5 miles, 1.6 miles, or .25 miles. You can also move in the Movement Pavilion with Tai Chi, chair exercises, PowerUp and more.
Come to walk and enjoy music, food, family photos and Bert Blyleven’s humor, and support the fight against Parkinson's disease.
