Relocation Assistance

You're looking at making some big decisions - a new job and a new city. We know these decisions can be stressful and want to help make the transition easier on you and your family by offering relocation assistance.

If HealthEast is relocating you in excess of 50 miles at our request, we may be able to offer financial assistance for certain expenses associated with residential relocation.

Interview phase

If you are traveling to the Twin Cities for a job interview, these are some of the relocation benefits that HealthEast may provide:

• Airfare and hotel arrangements
• Transportation, rental car or cab costs
• Mileage and meal reimbursements

HealthEast Care System has also partnered with Burnet Relocation (pdf). They can assist in providing community and housing information to applicants who are interested in the Greater Twin Cities Metro Area. A Burnet relocation counselor is available to discuss your needs and share all the great things the Twin Cities has to offer - housing, schools, entertainment, shopping and more.

They will:

• Provide personalized information on the community
• Assist with purchasing a new home
• Assist in finding a rental home
• Arrange for shipment of household goods, using a VHA vendor
• Provide relocation mortgage programs

Making the move

Based on your employment offer, these are some of the relocation benefits that HealthEast may provide:

• Transporting household items
• Temporary storage
• Payment for miscellaneous expenditures
• Moving allowance
• Transportation and meal expenses during the move

What about my spouse/partner?

HealthEast understands that your relocation may cause disruption to the employment of your spouse/partner. Therefore, we will provide assistance to help him or her integrate into the job market in the Twin Cities, if desired. The services will be provided through the HealthEast Learning Center and will be available for your spouse/partner for up to three months after your hire date.

Services may include:

• Resume writing techniques
• Consultation with a career development facilitator
• Job search consultation
• Networking skills
• Access to job searching on the Internet
• Access to a computer for resume and cover letter writing
• Access to career development books, videos and other resources through our lending library (materials can br checked out for up to two weeks)
