HealthEast will not be hiring Nursing Interns at any of our locations for summer 2010.
HealthEast offers a 10-week nursing intern program to practice skills and work with a preceptor. The program emphasizes critical thinking, leadership, prioritization, organization, time management, assessments, communication and accountability. College credits are given for the completion of the program.
Nursing interns are paired with a nurse preceptor and have the same schedule and patient assignments as the preceptor. Interns are required to complete program activities such as journals with specific objectives. Instructors have contact with both the nursing intern and the preceptor.
