Paid time off (PTO)
Our paid time off (PTO) plan consolidates vacation and sick time into a single account. PTO benefits are offered to part-time and full-time employees. Accrual and amount of time off may vary by employee group and authorized hours. Most full-time employees begin accruing 17 days of paid time off in their first year of employment. Accrual rates increase with seniority and job classification.
HealthEast offers paid holidays in addition to the PTO plan. Most full-time employees receive seven (7) paid holidays per calendar year. Employees may work with their manager in recognizing other holidays.
HealthEast provides an opportunity for employees to support one another in times when additional time off is needed. Employees may donate their accrued PTO or vacation time to another employee when they are on a full leave of absence due to their own serious health condition or the serious health condition of their spouse/domestic partner, parent or child/child of their qualified domestic partner.
