Eligible positions

• Acute care nurse practitioner
• Clinical nurse specialist
• Nurse practitioner
• Pharmacist
• Physical therapist
• Physician assistant
• Radiology (all technical positions)
• Registered nurse
• Respiratory care practitioner

Qualifications

• FTE (full-time equivalent) status of 0.4 or above on the claim form submission deadline date
• New hires and current HealthEast employees moving into a newly acquired job classification on or after January 1, 1999 in one of the eligible positions
• Must remain employed in their position or in a position requiring their degree
• Must be licensed or credentialed, if applicable

Loan repayment specifics

• Reimbursed up to $2,000 each year to a maximum of $10,000 over a consecutive five-year period
• Loan repayment will be pro-rated based on authorized hours:
  0.4 - 40% repayment
  0.5 - 50% repayment
  0.6 - 60% repayment
  0.7 - 70% repayment
  0.8 and above - 100% repayment
• Benefit is taxable
• Proof of loan and payment is required for each payment
• Request for reimbursement must be submitted within the same calendar year loan payments are made

Please note that reimbursement will only be made for those loans applicable to achieving the current eligible position. Loans for multiple degrees in the same position are excluded.
