HealthEast Care System was founded as a faith-based organization and today we continue to be guided by our rich heritage. We understand the importance of supporting the physical and spiritual health and well-being of our community.
Rooted in Judeo-Christian values, our mission is high quality, compassionate, cost-effective health care for the communities we serve.
At HealthEast, our Clinical Pastoral Education and the Parish Nurse Network symbolize and sustain our rich heritage and identity.
HealthEast provides a unique and rich environment in which to learn Spiritual Care. A variety of settings (including hospitals, hospice and senior care centers) give students the opportunity to have diverse experiences and tailor their clinical training to individual learning needs.
HealthEast's Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is a leading training center for health care chaplains. As a part of HealthEast's Spiritual Care department, residents function as members of the chaplaincy staff. They are an integral part of the interdisciplinary care provided throughout HealthEast.

Working with local churches, parish nurses (also called faith community nurses) stress health promotion, wellness and disease prevention. Some parish nurses work in their "home" congregation and others choose to work in an assigned congregation. Either way, their dedication touches the lives of many.
Parish nurses are experienced registered nurses (RNs) who have additional education in parish nursing. They empower others to take responsibility for their own health by providing support to individuals and families - through all stages of life.
