Bethesda Hospital 559 Capitol Blvd. St. Paul, MN 55103

Since being founded more than 125 years ago, Bethesda, a member of HealthEast Care System, has grown from a small, community hospital to a comprehensive long-term acute care hospital, or LTACH. The primary focus of an LTACH is to provide comprehensive, aggressive and specialized acute medical following treatment at a traditional hospital (acute care facility). LTACH patients have respiratory, medical problems, and/or physical and behavioral disabilities requiring further medical interventions and intense rehabilitation or behavioral management.
We’re different from other rehabilitation facilities because we provide an integrated program – treating the physical, emotional, spiritual and social aspects of our patients. We treated more than 1,400 people last year – more than any comparable facility in the Midwest.
In 2003 the hospital dedicated a new therapeutic garden for patients. The garden creates a quiet outdoor space for patients and families to walk, participate in other physical activities and enjoy nature’s healing qualities.
