Alzheimer’s and Memory Loss Care

Our Alzheimer's and Memory Loss Care is an outpatient program that offers comprehensive:

• Evaluation
• Diagnosis
• Treatment
• Education
• Support

Evaluation begins with a detailed history and review of pertinent medical records. Medical, neurological and psychiatric examinations are complemented by intellectual and functional status assessments. Additional studies of the brain may be requested, if necessary.

Some patients undergo a detailed exam which includes a screening test of memory and other intellectual abilities, a neurological assessment, brain scan (CT or MRI) and blood tests. These tests help specialists make a diagnosis and initiate treatment.

A new evaluation with the physician takes about an hour. Referrals for neuropsychological testing may require four or more hours.
