Certification

Jan is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Education

Jan graduated with her master's degree in nursing from the University of Minnesota. She went on to complete a post master's program from Metropolitan State University.

Professional activities

Jan began her career as a nurse manager and educator of other nurses. She then worked as a nurse practitioner in both a clinic and hospital setting for seven years before going into Electrophysiology. She has always been interested in heart rhythms and now specializes in their treatment with a focus on atrial fibrillation. Jan is very active in cardiovascular research.

Practice interests

She is interested in managing arrhythmias and chronic medical conditions.

Personal interests

Jan enjoys fishing, quilting and spending time with her family.
