Dr. Abbas is board certified in infectious disease.

Education

Dr. Abbas is a graduate of the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, where he earned his medical degree, and BS in Biology. He completed his internal medicine residency at St Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City, and his infectious disease fellowship at Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Professional activities

Dr. Abbas is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America.

Practice interests

He enjoys practicing all aspects of infectious diseases, with special interest in infections in the immunocompromised, hardware/prosthesis related infections, and difficult to heal wounds.
